Large Language Models (LLMs) are reshaping how we think about language and reasoning, yet the variety (GPT, Gemma, Llama, DeepSeek, Grok, and more) can be confusing. In this lecture, we will glance into the "black boxes" of LLMs, exploring their inner mechanisms (such as fine-tuning approaches, Chain-of-Thought reasoning, Mixture of Experts, Retrieval Augmented Generation, etc.) that allow them to reason, plan, and generate better responses. We will also discuss how different families of LLMs diverge and what these differences may imply in practice.
