January 30th at 14:00 in the LU Science House (LU Jelgava Street 4, Riga) participants of the Language Technology Initiative will present new study courses and modules, as well as innovations in research. All those interested are invited to participate in this event!

The Language Technologies Initiative, a project financed by the European Union Recovery Fund, will present its newly created study courses to Latvia's leading universities at the end of the month, as well as introduce news in the field of research.

Inguna Skadiņa, the professor at the Faculty of Computing of the University of Latvia (UL ), associate professor Jana Kuzmina at the Faculty of Humanities of the UL and the professor Marina Paltonova (Riga Technical University), as well as the associate professor (at the Faculty of Computing of the UL) Normunds Grūzītis, representing LU MII, and Andrejs Vasiļjevs, co-founder of "Tilde", will participate in this event. The event will be hosted by Daina Jāņkalne, a skilled presentor already known to many.

This project is marked as an important step in the development of Latvian language technology and will provide an opportunity for students to gain new knowledge and skills in this dynamic field. In addition, the achievements of the project will significantly affect Latvian education and research, making it more modern and competitive at the European level.

The Language Technology Initiative invites everyone interested to participate in the event to expand their understanding of language technology, as well as learn more about opportunities to study language technology!

The Language Technologies Initiative is a project of which participants from the following organizations and institutions are part of: University of Latvia, Riga Technical University, Riga Stradins University, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Latvia, Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia and TILDE.
