The prestigious European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics (EACL 2026) conference was held in Rabat, Morocco from 24 to 29 March 2026. This conference is one of the leading international conferences in the field of natural language processing and computational linguistics, bringing together researchers from all over the world.

The conference presented the latest research on language technologies, including language models, machine translation and information mining, as well as various seminars, workshops and industry sessions. Inguna Skadiņa and Artūrs Znotiņš participated in the poster session.

One poster introduced two language technology modules developed and piloted at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Latvia, while the other poster provided an overview of language technology related modules and courses developed at three leading universities of Latvia - University of Latvia (UL), Riga Technical University (RTU) and Riga Stradiņš University (RSU).

Participation in this conference provided an opportunity to get acquainted with current industry trends and strengthen international cooperation, as well as represent Latvian research in the wider scientific environment.
