At the seminar, Normunds Grūzītis (Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, University of Latvia) and Jānis Ziediņš (Cultural Information Systems Center) gave a presentation on the adaptation of existing artificial intelligence solutions to the Latvian language and their planned development.
Also participating in the seminar were Meta representatives Vitnija Saldava, Stepan Soukenik and Thomas Robinson. The seminar taught how Llama, one of the leading open AI models, can be used in AI applications in government and beyond. Various deployments of Llama were discussed, from on-premises to cloud deployment, and best practice models were implemented.
The seminar was held in English, with translation into Latvian provided in person.
